Dan is a 2013 graduate of Bronson High School and completed his Bachelors of Science degree in Counseling, with a minor in Biblical Studies at Grace College in 2016. He has served the past 2 ½ years as the worship leader and youth pastor at Community of Hope in Columbia City, IN. Dan was also a member of the National Honor Society, captain of the wrestling team, and Student Council Vice President at Bronson. After high school he worked summers at Camp Selah, near Reading. He was also employed at Lifeline Youth and Family Services in Pierceton, IN. Dan enjoys the outdoors, music and working with young people. He intends to continue his education in the area of Biblical Counseling.
Dan is married to the former Lorraine Williams (“Rainee”) from the Jackson area, where completed her high school diploma through Jackson Area Home Educators in 2011, and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies with New Tribes Bible Institute. Rainee also earned a B.S in Ministry Leadership through Moody Bible Institute, with an emphasis in Women’s Ministry. She has worked at the Whitley County YMCA, the Jackson District Library, and Camp Selah, where she and Dan first met.
Rainee’s interests include reading, arts and crafts, and teaching children and teens.
The Erwins have 2 sons, Philemon (23 months) and Hosea (5 months) and are making their temporary home at Pleasant Lake in southern Branch County.
